Netball is among a rare number of sports which have been created exclusively for female competitors.Netball is a popular and elite female sport code which is predominately played by Namibian girl child.

Deb marine is one of the sponsors to the Netball Namibia, in 2017 Deb-marine embattled on a 3 years sponsorship with Netball Namibia, they sponsored 1.8 million.The funds were allocated different Netball activities.The decision to support this sport code,was spearheaded by the call from the government to corporate world to help rescue sports in Namibia.The deputy Minister of sports,youth and national services said:"I sincerely thank Deb-marine Namibia for rescuing Netball in Namibia."The Deputy Minister explained that there are over 54 different sports codes in Namibia which the Government  alone will not be able to sustain and cater for.,hence their reliance on corporate companies to assist in sports development.

  The launch of the MTC Namibia Netball League (NNPL)  was not only a watershed moment in the overall change of local Netball, but it also improved livelihoods. MTC, the telecommunications giant, announced in 2021 that it will become the principal of the 12 team National Netball league with a cash investment of 4.8 million over three years.The sponsorship has benefited 165 players from various regions of the country.I was able to interview one of the top player, the captain of one of the competing teams, and this is what she had to say."As players, we are grateful since we are now receiving little monthly grants, all thanks to MTC for making it possible as their arrival has made a difference in our lives."Another player stated that the league has aided them in a variety of ways, particularly in finding their purpose and reigniting their Netball careers.

Football is one of the most popular sport code,not only in Namibia but World wide. This sport code is played by both men and woman.In Namibia football is governed by the Namibian football association.It was founded in 1990,later on it affiliated to FIFA,this association is responsible for organizing the national football league and National team,and their aim is to create a Football culture and industry that provide entertainment and economic benefit.

The Namibia premier league is the main domestic league,second league is the first division and lastly is the regional second division. However the Namibia football team has never qualified for the FIFA world cup,but has twice been runner up in the COSAFA cup.Although Namibia has leagues for both men and women,that allow them to showcase their talent, premier coaches have stated that there is still so much talent in the nation that has not yet been discovered, because league games are only held in few towns,so many talented players in those town that are left out  and they never get the opportunities to showcase their talent. I was able to interview some premier league players and ask them how the Namibia Association can improve their decision making. Their response was that they should ensure that the distribution of the money that goes into the league benefits the players, and they believe that football has lost its joy,due to so many changes that they have made.They also argue the community to assist NFA to promote sports by sponsoring the teams with the little that they can give  and host more tournaments in local towns for youth exposure.
